Gallery showing Client Commissions.
The client wanted an engagement ring, something special that stood out from the rest.
The faceted Amethyst stone is made the center piece of this ring by keeping the stone mounting as simple as possible.
Amethyst Silver Earrings
Given a pair of Amethyst stones with the instructions "Keep it Simple", so I used silver wire and cast couple of small stone settings to hold the stones in place.
Wedding Rings Commission
9ct Yellow Gold Wedding ring and a Sterling Silver Wedding ring, each with matching, lightly hammered textures.
Abstract Pewter Pendant
I had originally cast this shape to act as a display piece that was shown at Exhibition and Craft Fairs.
Customer took an interest in it and asked if I could make the abstract shape into a pendant for her.
Cast using a multiple textured cuttlefish shell that was lightly brushed to highlight the different levels of texture.
I was at a craft fair and a customer asked me if I could make them a copy of my own silver pendant in Pewter for them.
Gold 9ct Ring
Client saw her sister's 18ct Gold ring that I had made for her and decided she wanted the same.
Her husband gave her a gold ring that I melted down and made this 9ct Gold ring with a hammered finish.
Silver Onyx Ring
Client wanted her silver ring resized to fit her daughters finger.
Cast Celtic Pendant
Made this sterling Silver commission by pouring molten silver into a mold made from delft casting clay.
Sterling Silver Choker necklace
Hand made Sterling Silver choker necklace with an adjustable chain and "hinged" sterling silver lozenge pieces with eye catching "hammered" textures.
Client sent me their pencil design, and I recreated it in sterling silver.
Pewter Dalmatian Pendant
I hand carved this Dalmatian from pewter stock.
Used hand gravers to shape the body and legs, added spots and shading to correspond with the photo that the client had sent me.
This is the ring that I melted down, you can see the gold strip I had created on the home page. I made a brand new 18ct Gold ring with a hammered texture finish.
Hand Carved Sterling Silver Web Pendant
I was asked to come up with an unusual piece of jewellery for a birthday gift commission. I had this amazing idea of carving a web design into a cuttlefish shell.
Highly polished sterling silver web commission.
Textured Sterling Silver Rings
Sterling silver rings made by rolled stock and finished with a heavy hammer to create the textures.
Sterling Silver hand carved Cat
Client wanted a Christmas present for his young daughter. Cats popped into the idea list and I made a model out of pewter before casting a rough silver cat and then hand carving the silver cat into what you see here.
Cuttlefish Cast Wide Pewter Ring
A soldier asked if I could make a ring big enough to cover a finger tattoo.
I carved a very wide, long strip into one of my cuttlefish shells before pouring in molten pewter. I gently hammered the pewter strip into a ring and soldered the ends together using a very small, soft flame.
Cuttlefish Cast Sterling Silver Pendant
Sterling Silver Dog Tag Pendants
Client wanted a set of silver dog tags so they could get them engraved.
Cut shapes out of silver sheet, filed the rounded edges, drilled a hole and mounted them to a silver chain.
Sometimes I get a commission that takes me a day, sometimes a month, all depends on the simplicity or the complexity of the design.
Textured Sterling Silver Wedding Ring
Client required an unusual wedding ring design. I stuck a narrow strip of sandpaper to a small piece of wood and used the strip to make a mold in delft clay. Poured in molten silver and made a ring using the textured strip.
Pewter Bracelet Hand Carved
I used a combination of: needle files, pendant motor, buffing wheel, hammers, piecing saws to create this "One Off" custom Pewter Bracelet.
Sterling Silver Branch Brooch
Used a cuttlefish shell to make this silver branch brooch.
Sterling Silver Buckle Ring
Client wanted a different buckle ring that stood out from the rest, so I left out the buckle pin. It gives the buckle ring a very clean look.
Sterling Silver Hand Carved Mountain Brooch
Client wanted a brooch with a bottom clasp so they could hang small pendants from it.
Achieved the mountain brooch by using a cuttlefish shell and then added a raging river flowing between the mountains by mirror polishing and filing.
Clients's Repair and Redesign
I was given a broken sterling silver bracelet to repair. The Client wanted a way to reinforce the bracelet to prevent it from breaking again. I made a silver "inner bracelet" to give added strength and made a "rear oval design" out of silver sheet.
Client was after a gift for their Mother, so I hand carved this heart in Sterling Silver.
Hand Carved Sterling Silver Shinty Stick Brooch
Double sided St Christopher Pewter Pendants
Client wanted two matching pendants as Christmas presents for two sons and each pendant had to have the boy's name on them.
Pewter pendants made by casting into cuttlefish shells and sand at the same time. Names were later engraved on each pendant.
